Wine Spectator Restaurant Lab
This fully-operational restaurant serves as an on-site laboratory in which students can get the experience of operating a restaurant without having to leave campus. Featuring the Mel Dick Wine Tower and the Badia Spices Food Production Laboratory, the 140-seat teaching restaurant provides students with hands-on experience as they enter the hospitality workforce.
Brewing Science Laboratory
Part of the Chaplin School Brewing Science Program, the laboratory enhances the school's position as a worldwide leader for education and applied research in the craft beer industry. With advanced technology and equipment, the Brewing Lab allows students and faculty to participate in innovative brewing research, the creation of new brews, and collaborations with local craft brewers.
Aquatics
The Aquatic Center is one of South Florida’s most scenic aquatic facilities overlooking beautiful Biscayne Bay. The center offers an outdoor, eight-lane, Olympic-size swimming pool. Adult and children swimming classes are offered as well as non-credit lifeguard classes. Ideally located near the Oleta State Park, the center's day and night kayaking trips are a unique adventure for all outdoor enthusiasts.
Ratcliffe Art + Design Incubator
The Ratcliffe Art + Design Incubator is an initiative to promote and foster social entrepreneurship and innovation among upcoming FIU artists and designers. The incubator’s one-year residency provides Ratcliffe fellows with essential tools to turn their ideas into profitable businesses. This unique program is one of the most innovative art and design entrepreneurship spaces housed at a public university.

FIU Journalism + Media has partnered with iSTAR Enterprises to form the FIU Immersive Studio for Altered Reality. FIU iSTAR provides consultation services; innovates and tests new technologies; and provides training and instruction in the creation of multimedia experiences (MME) in Extended Reality (XR), Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR).
Kovens Conference Center

Ropes Course
The Team Ropes Adventure Challenge (TRAC) is an experiential education program focusing on human development and group dynamics. Participants will learn new skills through a series of adventure-based activities that provide training in leadership, team building development, communication and problem solving skills.
