Dr. Deborah Holmes


Bio

Dr. Deborah Holmes was born to her Jamaican family in Harlem, New York and was raised in Queens. She attended Queens College and New Jersey Medical School in Newark. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Cooper Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey. She worked at the Riker’s Island Jail in NY for several years as a physician’s assistant (P.A.) prior to completion of medical school. She especially enjoys assisting in medical care of the disenfranchised. Her outside interests include music, the arts, great food, her family, her dogs, and people!

Dr. Holmes works with AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), one of the largest, global, not-for-profit AIDS healthcare providers. She is the medical director, internist & HIV specialist for the North Miami Beach AHF Healthcare Center. AHF, as of 2019, currently serves over 1 million patients globally. AHF has clinic partners in nearly 30 countries with the majority of patients served currently residing in Sub-Saharan Africa.
